LEFT
OUT For The Working Class a premier release on the Grrr label is not your typical nor predictable punk rock music. LEFT OUT is solidly in the groove of the hot pop-punk market (MXPX, Crux, Crashdog, 90 Lb. Wuss). Their musics energy and authenticity speaks to the reality of its young audience with the hope of Jesus Christ. LEFT OUT speaks with the voice of those kids who have never found acceptance in the cruel world of high school society. The members of this band have gone through the experience of having their Christian faith render them outcasts in the cynical, peer pressure driven teen culture. They see others just like themselves struggling with the question, "What does it mean to follow Jesus in the midst of a disdainful world?" LEFT OUT'S message to these young Christians is that while being a committed Christian may not be so "cool" experiencing the love of God makes being cool utterly insignificant. When band leader Bryan Gray was asked of a mission statement for the group he quite simply said " to change the world for God". LEFT OUT is interested in outreach but really see themselves as a band to minister to the church crowd. They want to support and encourage the youth who are trying to do right, who are trying to live for God. The dedication of the band members to live with, work with, and be accountable to other Christians in an intentional community lends integrity to their musical endeavors and speaks volumes in a world obsessed with art for arts sake. |
